Three singers, three writers, a tangle of guitars, and a drummer with a kit in a suitcase, Falling Stars throws a harmonious, crunchy jangle right through your front door.
Tim, Jeff, Mark, and Andy have been playing together, and with various other appendages, for the past 45 million years. But who’s counting? They are certainly not! Hailing from a swath of Chicago suburbs and neighborhoods, they have played FitzGerald’s, Martyr’s, Hideout, Schubas, Empty Bottle, OuttaSpace, Friendly Tap, some less than friendly taps, and random front porches and living rooms. Is your toe tapping? Are your lips humming? They're closer than you think.

“Falling Stars recent EP Garden Variety showcases their knack for catchy indie rock.”
Terry Flamm, Broken-Hearted Toy
Chicago quartet Falling Stars get it right on their Garden Variety EP, with three on point tracks that sound instantly familiar.
Here Comes the Flood
Garden Variety kicks off with “Waiting For Love,” a scrappy tune that splits the difference between Power Pop and Roots Rock. “Every Day,” leans a bit more Americana but the vocal harmonies and guitar tones retain a Power Pop sheen. “Do Your Thing’s” creeping bass line, crisp guitars, and ‘call and response’ vocals that will appeal to fans of Squeeze, Marshall Crenshaw. and early BoDeans.
